KYRA is a voluntary partnership of Primary schools in Lincolnshire encompassing schools who span a variety of contexts and communities.
KYRA is now a thriving partnership of over 70 Primary schools in Lincolnshire, supported by Anthem Schools Trust (the Trust that runs the original lead school – Mount Street Academy). This group of schools have continued to work together and ensured the partnership is sustainable, taking collective responsibility for the 11,575 pupils they serve.
Purpose
The KYRA partnership is united by a deep commitment to a shared vision and purpose for the partnership. The KYRA DNA is a set of commitments that partner schools make to one another. These were developed collaboratively in 2014 as the foundation for the partnership. Partner schools are committed to the following:
Being ambitious for children. Always setting the bar high, even if it makes us feel uncomfortable, because by working together anything is possible.
Being a learning community. Constantly understanding our needs and identifying best practice and research to generate a professional learning community. We are not afraid of asking for help, and nor are we reserved in offering support and expertise wherever we can.
Being builders of social capital. Starting with the premise ‘What can we give?’ rather than ‘What can we get?’ generates a rich community of mutual support and professional generosity.
Delivering on quality and impact. Holding ourselves to account with clear aims and targets that clearly link to children’s outcomes. As contributors, we will be open to the scrutiny of others, knowing that accountability and review is key to the continued success of any learning community.
Celebrating diversity. Respecting the diversity of schools and members across our alliance. Seeing this as a strength whilst ensuring no one is excluded or left behind.
Being committed to a deep moral purpose. Committed to the success of children and adults in all of our schools. Our opportunity is to achieve something truly transformational that translates into a better education system for all. We celebrate the successes of our partners as we would our own.
