Head of Teaching School & School Improvement
Helen is responsible for ensuring the vision and strategy for the Teaching School is realised. She represents alliance activity at a strategic level, maintaining strong networks within the alliance locally, regionally and nationally. By building connections and making known the expertise available within our schools Helen ensures that Kyra delivers a sector led school improvement system, which ensures no child is left behind. Helen also supports the Executive Head to lead school improvement across the partnership of schools.

Deputy Head of Kyra TSA
Leann champions the vision and work of the alliance. She supports the Head of the Teaching School in the delivery of the strategic plan and also oversees the implementation and delivery of the teaching schools CPD offer, whilst shaping and delivering the portfolio of curriculum based professional development opportunities for practitioners. Leann is also the NQT Manager, leading, managing and quality assuring the work of Kyra as an appropriate body for NQT Induction. In her role as KS1 moderation manager, she works with the moderation team to deliver moderation training and the moderation of Year 2 reading, writing and maths across the county.
Head of Operations
Lisa is responsible for project management across a range of activities run by the Teaching School, in line with the vision and values of the wider alliance. Lisa organises and supports the core team to manage the Teaching School’s activities, including communication and delivery.
Primary Lead Mentor
Catherine works with LTSA Scitt as the Lead Mentor for the Kyra Hub, she is a Programme Tutor and Phonic Specialist for all Kyra trainees (Initial Teacher Training), she coordinates interviews and recruitment, placement days and supervision of all trainees for the Kyra Hub. Catherine is passionate about initial teacher training and works closely with mentors and trainees to continue succesful outcomes for the wider SCITT.

Head of Research School
James leads the Kyra Research School, and is responsible for ensuring the vision and strategy of the national network and local implementation is realised. James ensures that the work of the Research School inspires engagement, by making visible ‘what works’ and making it accessible to all practitioners. He leads the Research School locally in identifying local champions, growing capacity and building partnerships – all to make a difference to the education of children within the schools we serve.
Research & Development Leader
Juliet is responsible for research and development across the alliance, and supports the leadership and management of the Kyra Research School. Juliet leads project management across a range of activities, including professional development, evaluation, communication and delivery.
Mobilise Project Lead
Vanessa champions the work of the Mobilise project, providing induction and training for the Research Champions and Cluster Leads, who in turn facilitate Professional Learning Communities, which implement the research. The project and its team mobilise the research, using evidence-based practice to support school improvement and impact on outcomes for all children; coaching and mentoring.

Mobilise Research Champion
Anna works closely with the Project Lead to provide links to the evidence-base that support this year’s Mobilise projects. Anna inputs into the training of Clusters Leads whilst monitoring and supporting all clusters around the county through Professional Learning Communities - ensuring the research is implemented in schools to support their priorities and school improvement.
Communications & Media Manager, NQT Administrator
Jude is responsible for planning and implementing the Teaching Schools' communication streams, whilst championing alliance activity and member priorities, sharing information regarding Kyra both locally, regionally and nationally. Jude is also the administrator for Kyra NQT Induction supporting registration, and the ongoing process for schools and mentors in completing the NQT Induction year.
Donna provides administrative support to the Kyra team, she is responsible for booking systems, communication and hospitality of both in house and external events.
Kyra Finance Administrator
Cathryn works within the Kyra team to manage the day to day financial systems for the teaching school.
TSA & Research School Administrative Assistant
Sarah delivers administrative support to the Head of the Teaching School and the Kyra Research School, she assists with the planning and implementation of projects run by both the Teaching School and Research School.
