Apprenticeships are for existing staff in their current roles, not just for new jobs Maintained schools have been paying the Apprenticeship Levy since May 2017 which they can use to pay for apprenticeship training and delivery
Kyra is working with The National College of Education (NCE) to raise awareness of apprenticeships with schools in Lincolnshire. NCE offers a range of apprenticeships that are specific to leaders working in educational settings, which include:
- L4 Coaching and Mentoring Programme: Ideally for Early career mentors/ITT leads/anyone coaching in school – 15 month programme – Cost £7,000 (fully funded via the apprenticeship levy)
- L5 Education Management Programme: Ideally for Middle Leaders within school – 18 month programme – Cost £7,000 (fully funded via the apprenticeship levy)
- L7 Senior Leadership Programme: Ideally for Senior Leaders across school – 24 month programme – Cost £14,000 (fully funded via the apprenticeship levy)
- MBA in Education Management: This is for System and Executive leaders working across multiple schools – Cost £25,000 (£14,000 funded via the apprenticeship levy)
The application window for those wishing to start their apprenticeship programme in July 2021 opens in January and closes on 31st May 2021.
