Find out more about NLEs …
National leaders of education (NLEs) are outstanding headteachers or principals who, together with the staff in their schools and partnerships, use their skills and experience to support schools in challenging circumstances. In addition to leading their own schools, NLEs work to increase the leadership capacity of other schools to help raise standards.
Once recruited onto the programme, you and your school will work with schools and academies in the most challenging of circumstances. What’s involved will depend on what is required by the school in need of support. Each deployment is negotiated separately with the relevant local authority or appropriate commissioning body.
The application round is currently closed.
"We will harness our collective professionalism, expertise, and moral purpose, to ensure no one is left behind, and every school and individual in our partnership thrives – to the benefit of all children."— Kyra members - 2014
The Kyra Journal is published 6 times per year. It contains news and updates on what’s happening within the alliance and each edition has a focus on one area of activity.
